Westminster Presbyterian Church

Westminster Presbyterian Church believes the great biblical traditions of the historic Christian church need not be erased, rather they need to be presented in contemporary ways. This is the vision we try to create in every aspect of congregational life. Westminster has over 150 years of serving the communities in Northern Illinois and is dedicated to seeking new ways of serving Northern Illinois.

Over the last 4 or 5 years, Westminster noticed that many of our new members, especially young families, have been coming from Roscoe, Rockton, South Beloit, and even Beloit. As a result, we began looking at creating ministries that would be more accessible in the Stateline area. As we explored the possibility of developing new ministries through interviews with community leaders and members, the community responded with a desire for midweek children’s ministry. With this information, we developed a team of our local Stateline members who are helping to build this ministry.

Meet the Kids Club Team

Brad Rogers – Director
Brad grew up at Westminster Presbyterian Church. After college, Brad attended Seminary in Dubuque, IA. When he graduated, he began serving Westminster. He is married to Lauren Rogers, who is a teacher at Harlem High School. They live in Rockton.

Tracy Reese – Recreation Coordinator
Tracy is an active member at Westminster. She has been involved in several children’s productions at Westminster and has helped out with Vacation Bible School. She also sings in the praise band at our 11:15 service. She is married to Rick Reese and they have two children, Braydon and Griffen. They live in Roscoe.

Kris Markley – Publicity Coordinator
Kris and her husband Scott have been long time members of Westminster. Kris and Scott serve in many ways at Westminster, from middle school ministry to volunteering at our LOGOS program. They have four children, Brooke, Erin, Nathan, and Hope, and they live in South Beloit.

Tammy and Mary Jane Kerch – Family Time Coordinators
Tammy is married to Dave Kerch and has two kids, Lauren and Spencer. They live in Rockton. Mary Jane Kerch is Tammy’s mother-in-law and also lives in Rockton. Tammy and Mary Jane have both helped out with our LOGOS program at Westminster and are a great team. Together they will be helping us out with Family Time.

Jan Merrill – Bible Time Coordinator
Jan Merrill lives in Roscoe with her husband Steve. They have three grown children. Jan volunteers with the Shepherds program at Westminster. She will be helping us out with our Bible Time and teaching children in kindergarten and first grade.
